Big J**m trusts no b***h (edited) - Trust + Love was first written on the board to help foster engagement. The board was then taken down for 6 days due to the obscenity in J**m’s response. Distrust and sabotage kills our opportunities as a Community, before we are even able to recognize them. These are the scars from our environments. Let us pray for Big J**m’s healing.
Trust can still be rebuilt through Christ as He calls us to love each other.
Justice and peace - To be able to turn values into actionable projects, we need to further discuss what they mean to the Community. That is why we have partnered with the Bel Air Luxury Theater to bring back the movie TILL to say together what JUSTICE means to us as a Community. If this movie event is successful, we can do a follow up event for the value of PEACE as we explore Detroit’s specific history in the movie, DETROIT.
Unity and Peace - We propose the movie 42 for the value of UNITY.
Stop the violence - This too can have many meanings for our Community. As a starting point we can address gun violence within the Community. Our Keese Barbershop Engagement also touched on safety in the Community and it was suggested to create a business alliance with organized timeouts for those that violate the safety code.
Further more, we could start an end the gun violence campaign around the City with a slogan such as, Your Life Matters.
Sharing Resources for Financial Support & Community Improvement - 313 Table would like to be able to serve as a trusted hub for the Community to be able to share resources and collaborate on projects with the Community. The 313 Discount Card is a start to both generate resources and provide benefits to the Community.
Personal Tags (edited) - While posts of name tags and business promotions were left on the board for a while to respect all posts, we ultimately had to delete them to make room for posts to help us better serve the Community.
