Stop the change from 313 to 679 - If you do not understand what this is about, please read this News Article. If this is something that the Community is passionate about, we can Petition for 679 to be introduced as a split with 679 for Metro Detroit and 313 specifically for the City of Detroit.
A public hearing is set for March 9, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wayne County Community College District’s downtown campus in the Frank Hayden Community room #236, 1001 W. Fort Street in Detroit to take public comment on the proposal to add the 679 area code.
More Community Clean Ups - Many people agree with this sentiment and would probably support an neighborhood clean-up series. We could make April our yearly Community Clean Up month.
OUR Community Health Cards - While there is the Double Food Bucks Program available at Americana to double fruits and vegetables up to $10 a day, we can build upon this as a Community to further provide health benefits. As we launch 313 Discount cards, we can also seek to add health benefits/deals.
Raise in Pay - Together we can attract higher paying jobs into our Community and/or find ways to raise wages within our local businesses. Please help us focus our efforts for pay raises through the Pay Raise Survey.
Peace to the Community - Jesus Christ offers us peace within as we forgive others and give Him our burdens, ”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 ESV
As a Community, peace needs to further discussed. What are we asking for peace from?
Stop Stealing - The Gateway is Our Solution to thieves and robbers as we call on Jesus Christ for protection.
Respect & Love - Respect is another value to be further discussed within our Community. How can we better respect each other? How do we want to be respected?
